Here at St Giles Academy we understand the importance of healthy eating. Many of our children choose to have a healthy school lunch and this has increased since September 2014 with the introduction of the Government initiative, Universal Infant Free School Meals, which means all Reception, Year One and Year Two children are entitled to a free lunch. Research has shown that a healthy lunch, whether it is packed lunch or a school lunch, can provide us with the energy to concentrate and focus in class and also have fun and run about at break times.
Children can either bring a packed lunch from home or choose a school lunch.
GOOD LOOKIN COOKIN provides our school lunches.

School lunches can be ordered online each week. These need to be ordered by Wednesday in order for your child to receive their lunch the following week. Meals cost £2.30 but are free if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or 2 under the Universal Free School Meals initiative. Even though your child may receive a free meal, you will still need to complete an order form online.
If you have any queries about the lunches please speak to Mrs Barratt or one of our Office Team.
