The St Giles Local Academy Council was disbanded on 31st August 2025 and replaced by direct governance from the Board of Trustees.
The Board has established an interim executive board to govern the academy and provide robust oversight until the academy is in a strong and stable position. This interim executive board is known as the Education Standards Board and was constituted on 12th September 2025 and had its first official meeting on the 24th September 2025. You can read more about the purpose of the Education Standards Board here.
The Board meets half-termly to analyse and evaluate the Rapid Improvement Plan for St. Giles Academy. The focus of the board is to monitor and challenge the work of school and trust leaders, holding them to account so that rapid, sustained and embedded improvement takes place in the academy.
Education Standards Board members have been chosen for their skills, experience and knowledge. Harbour Learning Trust are very grateful to ESB members for their support. If you wish to contact ESB members, please do so through the trust Governance Professional [email protected].
