Harbour Learning Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of Trustees who oversee the strategic direction of the Trust and hold executive leaders to account for the educational standards and its pupils and the performance of staff.
At a local academy level, the Board of Trustees appoints local governors to be part of Local Academy Councils that are delegated certain functions by the board of Trustees and plays a really important role in supporting the effective operation of our Academies. The objectives of Local Academy Councils are:
- To support effective operation of the Academy
- To monitor the delivery of the School Improvement Plan
- To hold the Academy Principal to account for standards
St Giles Academy is part of the ‘Local Academy Council – Lincoln Primary Hub’ along with 2 other primary schools, Hartsholme Academy and Ermine Primary Academy.
